About Heather

Say "Hello" to your new veterinarian Dr. Heather Dein

Dr. Heather Dein was born and raised in Honesdale, Pa. She attended the University of Scranton, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2008. Following graduation, she decided to follow her love for animals and science to St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. She obtained her veterinary degree in 2013, after completing her clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. She has practiced small animal medicine in northeast Pennsylvania since 2013 and opened Highland Veterinary Clinic in 2023.

Dr. Dein is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association and is Fear Free Certified.  Professional interests include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and free fear practices.

She enjoys spending time outdoors in the beautiful northeast, skiing, hiking, gardening, and beekeeping.
